Educational Session 19
Fall Protection on Roofs Course

MUST REGISTER IN ADVANCE – LIMITED SEATING – MAXIMUM 25 PARTICIPANTS

$395 FEE – Palomino 3

This course details and demonstrates fall protection solutions (temporary and permanent) when working on roofs. Depending on the frequency and duration of the task, ownership of the building, number of workers and available structure, various fall protection solutions will be described that can be used on flat and low-slope roofs. With the release of Subpart D, Walking Working Surfaces, OSHA has provided some clear direction for rooftop fall protection for maintenance applications. This regulation (and the construction regulation) will be included in the program when discussing which solutions are acceptable to governing bodies. More importantly, the advantages and disadvantages of each fall protection solution will be presented. Solutions discussed will include rooftop access (fixed ladders, hatches, portable ladders), guardrails (temporary and permanent), travel restraint systems (temporary and permanent) and the application and use of designated areas.  Any attendee who is registered for a full conference or one day pass for NATE UNITE 2019 has the opportunity to register for the Fall Protection on Roofs course. Class size for this course is limited to 25 people and is available on a first-come, first-serve basis. Cost for this course is $395 per person and includes lunch and beverages. For further information about this course, please contact Diego Oliver at [email protected].
