Hierarchy of Fall Protection Poster

Due to the nature of working at height and other circumstances, eliminating all fall hazards is a challenge, whereby less desirable methods of control must be employed. These basic methods are: hazard elimination, passive protection, fall restraint, fall arrest, and administrative controls. The fall protection methods listed in the hierarchy are in order of preference according to the level of security they provide for the employee.
