SURVEY NARRATIVE
Gravitec will perform fall hazard surveys at Weyerhaeuser facilities to identify and document fall exposure associated with routine and non-routine work activities. The objective of the survey is to establish a clear and defensible understanding of where fall hazards exist, how work is performed, and the conditions under which employees are exposed to fall risk prior to the development of any solutions.
Each survey is conducted by experienced Gravitec personnel using a consistent and repeatable field methodology. Surveys are completed in coordination with Weyerhaeuser site representatives to ensure that actual work practices, access methods, task frequency, and environmental conditions are accurately reflected. The survey process emphasizes observation of real-world conditions rather than reliance on drawings or written procedures alone.
Fall hazards are documented through color digital photographs, task descriptions, and measured fall distances where applicable. Hazards may include, but are not limited to, roofs, platforms, fixed equipment, access points, elevated work areas, and non-routine access locations. The survey phase is observational and fact-finding in nature and does not assume or prescribe specific fall protection solutions.
The survey deliverable is a written report that documents each identified hazard individually and provides a consistent record of site conditions. This documentation establishes the foundation for subsequent risk evaluation and prioritization. The following section provides a representative example of a completed Gravitec hazard survey.
