PROGRAM ADMINISTRATOR – PROVIDED BY ASSP
ANSI Z359 FALL PROTECTION PROGRAM ADMINISTRATOR
This course equips competent persons, site managers, owners, safety professionals, and foremen with the knowledge and resources needed to develop a company-specific Fall Protection Program in alignment with ANSI/ASSP Z359.2.
Course topics include identifying and controlling fall hazards, ensuring compliance with fall protection regulations, developing effective solutions, assessing training needs, meeting equipment inspection requirements, and writing work procedures. Designed for individuals responsible for creating or managing fall protection programs, this course follows a workshop format. Participants analyze real-world case studies of worksites with fall hazards, assess compliance with occupational health and safety laws, develop solutions based on the Hierarchy of Fall Protection, determine training requirements, and create written procedures. The course content directly corresponds with ANSI Z359.2, Minimum Requirements for a Comprehensive Managed Fall Protection Program, which students will reference throughout the training.
This is not a fall protection trainer course, and workshops do not involve climbing or the use of fall protection equipment. It is intended for individuals already familiar with fall protection and rescue systems who seek to develop or enhance their fall protection program. For those interested in becoming a fall protection trainer, please refer to the Fall Protection Trainer Course.
This course meets the Criteria for Accepted Practices in Safety, Health, and Environmental Training (ANSI/ASSP Z490.1) and complies with ANSI/ASSP Z359.2, part of the ANSI/ASSP Z359 Fall Protection Code.
