Petzl’s Croll is a chest ascender. When used with a chest strap and Petzl’s Ascension or Basic, the Croll makes a simple and efficient system for ascending fixed lines. The angled attachment hole keeps the device properly aligned on the chest. The chrome-plated steel cam with calculated teeth and self-cleaning opening safely holds the rope, indeed in sloppy or frigid conditions. Description
A safety catch prevents the cam from opening too far, keeping the rope captured for added safety. The CROLL is for use with ropes between 8 mm and 11 mm in diameter. Its frame is aluminum. The cam is constructed of stainless steel.
