Description
Compact Safety You Can Count On
The 3M™ DBI-SALA® Self-Rescue Device is an emergency descent system that activates after a fall, offering workers a safe, controlled way to lower themselves to the ground. This device is ideal for professionals working at height who need immediate post-fall escape options.
Reliable Post-Fall Descent
Have you ever thought about what happens after a fall is arrested? How will your workers get down safely without waiting for rescue? The Self-Rescue Device provides a dependable solution—deploying automatically when needed and allowing a smooth descent from up to 100 feet (depending on model). It helps prevent suspension trauma and speeds up rescue response.
Worn on the Harness
This lightweight, compact unit integrates directly into select 3M™ DBI-SALA® ExoFit™ and Delta™ harnesses without interfering with daily movement. Its low-profile design stays out of the way until it’s needed—then it’s ready in seconds.
Controlled Descent Mechanism
The device uses a sealed, centrifugal brake to regulate descent speed, ensuring consistent and safe lowering regardless of the user’s weight (within rated capacity). No special training or tools are required to operate.
