Harness Buddy Check

No matter what type and style of full body harness is being used, the wearer should have a co-worker check the following five points to ensure the harness is being warn correctly:

  1. Is the sub-pelvic strap located under the buttocks
  2. Are the leg loops taut enough that it is difficult to slide a hand between the straps and the thighs?
  3. Is the chest strap on the upper chest area, preventing the shoulder straps from being pulled off the shoulders?
  4. Is the dorsal D-ring centered in the natural groove between the shoulder blades?
  5. How is the overall fit and finish of the harness? There should be no loose webbing, twists, or non-symmetrical ends.
