Harness Buddy Check
No matter what type and style of full body harness is being used, the wearer should have a co-worker check the following five points to ensure the harness is being warn correctly:
- Is the sub-pelvic strap located under the buttocks
- Are the leg loops taut enough that it is difficult to slide a hand between the straps and the thighs?
- Is the chest strap on the upper chest area, preventing the shoulder straps from being pulled off the shoulders?
- Is the dorsal D-ring centered in the natural groove between the shoulder blades?
- How is the overall fit and finish of the harness? There should be no loose webbing, twists, or non-symmetrical ends.
