As a Fall Protection Training Instructor, you’ll deliver both classroom and hands-on training programs from our Poulsbo facility and at customer locations across the United States and beyond. You’ll gain expertise in an exciting and highly specialized industry while working with cutting-edge equipment, industry-leading curriculum, and a team of professionals recognized as some of the best in the field.
Our instructors have trained clients in some of the most unique work environments imaginable, from stadium rooftops, 1500 ft towers, wind turbines, world-renowned theme parks, major industrial facilities, and breathtaking natural destinations like the Grand Canyon and Hawaiian Islands. WHAT YOU’LL DO:
- Deliver engaging classroom and hands-on training programs covering fall protection, rescue techniques, and safe work practices.
- Teach and coach individuals and groups using established course materials and lesson plans.
- Build strong relationships with customers and provide a professional, high-quality training experience.
- Travel throughout the United States (approximately 50% of the time) and occasionally internationally to deliver training programs.
- Learn and apply Gravitec’s industry-leading fall protection standards, safety practices, and technical expertise.
- Demonstrate proper use of fall protection and rescue equipment in real-world training environments.
- Identify opportunities to improve training materials, instructional methods, and customer experience.
- Collaborate with teammates while also working independently in the field.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability and willingness to work at height after completing training.
- Ability to climb structures and participate in physically demanding demonstrations and rescue exercises.
- Ability to learn and communicate technical information effectively.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Current passport or ability to obtain one.
- Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office and the ability to learn new software.
PREFERRED BUT NOT REQUIRED:
- Previous training, teaching, coaching, mentoring, or presentation experience.
- Fall protection, construction, safety, rescue, industrial, utility, or outdoor recreation experience.
- Experience working at height or using lifts, ladders, towers, or related equipment.
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:
- Competitive hourly compensation between $26 – $35 depending on experience.
- Medical / Dental / Vision insurance plan. We pay 90% of the monthly premium for employees.
- 401(k) program with employer match.
- Paid Vacation – Employees accrue 80 hours of vacation time per year.
- 7 Paid Holidays – New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, 4th of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving and the Friday after Thanksgiving and Christmas Day.
- Paid sick time in accordance with Washington State Law.
