Drafting Technicians work with a diverse team of engineers, installation technicians, and fabricators creating lifesaving solutions for people operating at height. This is an ideal opportunity for a technician/modeler who thrives on out-of-the-box thinking and the prospect of providing custom solutions for complex issues.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:

  • Work directly with Project Engineers and Managers to prepare design and construction documents.
  • Create detailed technical drawings and plans using AutoCAD, Inventor, and other drafting software.
  • Prepare structural plans, schematics, and mechanical designs for fall protection systems.
  • Ensure all drawings comply with industry standards and regulations.
  • Manage time effectively while working on multiple projects, often under pressure, and meet project deadlines while maintaining a high-quality product.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD is required; experience with Inventor and BIM modeling is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with structural engineering plans and detailing.
  • Ability to read and understand engineering drawings.
  • Ability to develop layout plans from sketches and/or existing drawings and photos.
  • Strong understanding of math, geometry and engineering graphics.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
  • Confident and articulate in written and verbal communications.
  • Creative problem solving and critical thinking. Willingness to learn.
  • Be effective at building collaborative relationships, functioning as part of a team as well as working independently.
  • Competitive hourly compensation between $20 – $40 depending on experience.
  • Medical / Dental / Vision insurance plan. We pay 90% of the monthly premium for employees.

  • Paid Vacation – Employees accrue 80 hours of vacation time per year.
  • 7 Paid Holidays – New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, 4th of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving and the Friday after Thanksgiving and Christmas Day.
  • Paid sick time in accordance with Washington State Law.
