This course is designed for the Authorized User who climbs fixed ladders. The new “Walking-Working Surfaces and Personal Fall Protection Systems Final Rule” / OSHA Regulations, released in November 2016, will introduce fall arrest systems and harness use to many people who have not had to use this type of equipment.
This OSHA 1920.23 Fall Protection & Ladders - Train the Trainer course is designed for those companies with ladders on their property that must adhere to the new “Walking-Working Surfaces and Personal Fall Protection Systems Final Rule” / OSHA Regulations.
Students will gain a thorough understanding of how to recognize fall hazards and take corrective action according to the governing body (EM 385-1-1, OPNAVINST 5100.23 Chapter 13, DON Fall Protection Guide, UFGS 01 35 25 and OSHA 1926.500-503, 1910.66 Appendix C).
Similar to Gravitec’s Managed Fall Protection Program Administrator Course, this program provides managers and safety professionals with the tools, guidelines and materials to develop a state-of-the-art Comprehensive Managed Fall Protection Program outlined in ANSI/ASSE Z359.2-2007.
New standards seem to be coming out every month and users of the documents are confused as to which standard applies to which piece of equipment, how equipment is tested, how equipment is marked, what standards are coming out, if any are incorporated by reference and what do they need to do to comply with an ANSI standard.
