Figure-Eight In-Line
This variation of the figure-eight is tied mid-line. The knot dresses with the standing end of the rope nicely. A figure-eight on a bight tied mid-line, opens and distorts.
Applications
Hauling or lifting weights in one direction.
Directions
Form a loop in the middle of the rope. Pass the loop behind the standing end, leaving a little loop on the opposite side. Cross the loop back over and down through the under side of the little loop coming out along the working end. Dress and set.
